This isn't an original piece, but the component parts of this Iroko desk by Mustard Vintage combine to make a very stylish midcentury-inspired item.
The maker has constructed the desk with a reclaimed 1960s solid Iroko laboratory top, combining it with midcentury-inspired hand crafted steel hairpin legs. The result is a desk that's a recent build, but with the looks of a 50-year-old design.
That's likely to be aided by the Iroko timber used. It was rescued from a school science lab and as such, has had years of use which should only add to the character. You can see close-ups of that on the listing. But note that the tops have been cleaned down lightly sanded and refinished resulting in a 'rich conker' colouring.
