Handmade in Stoke: Adderley Works bone china pendant light by Reiko Kaneko

It looks like vintage industrial lighting at first glance, but the Adderley Works pendant light by Reiko Kaneko is anything but.

Well, it does have that look, which is what drew us to it in the first place. But this isn't old metal. This handmade light fitting is produced form fine bone china in Stoke-on-Trent, which is said to have a translucent shine when switched on. But just as importantly, looks good when switched off too.

Each one is finished with a braided cable in a variety of colours and uses a E27 14W low energy bulb. If you want one, SCP is the stockist and the price is £245.
