With its clean lines and simple shape, Tatsuo Kuroda's knot chair looks like it could have been designed 60 years ago. In fact, it's a twenty-first century classic.
As is perhaps obvious from the shape, Japanese designer Tatsuo Kuroda was inspired by midcentury Danish pieces. The elegant lines of its shape are made from ash and beech, tied together with paper cord at the arms and back and adding to the tactile quality of the design.
The chair comes in a variety of combinations, each in keeping with the understated nature of the piece: black with natural cord (as shown above), all white (as you can see below), or all black.
