The MiiBox: Arne Jacobsen’s villa as a doll’s house

Arne Jacobsen dolls house

We've unearthed some interesting modernist doll's houses in the past, such as this model inspired by Mies van der Rohe and this one by Baines&Fricker. The MiiBox has a slight difference, however – it's actually a to-scale version of Arne Jacobsen's own villa

It's actually an officially licensed product, an authentic 1:16 model of Jacobsen's 1929 villa in Charlottenlund, Denmark produced by the company Minimii. Well, not the whole villa – Minimii did manufacture one of those too, but sadly now have sold out. What you get is the frontage, which means the house can be both free-standing and wall mounted. And, as the frontage is hinged, it means it can double up as a quirky cabinet, if you don't want to let the kids anywhere near it.

There's a great attention to detail on this model. For just under 30 euros, you can also get the brass plaque on the door engraved to your chosing. And the Minimii shop is full of mini Egg and Swan chairs to furnish your house with.

You can order one for 403.23 euros.
