1950s Hans J. Wegner-designed CH825 Credenza reissued by Carl Hansen

It isn't cheap, but I think it's fair to say that this Hans J. Wegner-designed CH825 Credenza is pretty timeless.


In fact, it looks like a modern piece. High praise indeed for a design that dates back to 1958. That's perhaps down to what looks like a very simple design, But that's not actual true, with the credenza featuring advanced roller shutter doors that 'disappear' when opened. Inside you'll find adjustable shelves and pullout drawers.

The design was originally made of palisander and teak, but has been remade with  walnut and oak options, with a choice of legs in either wood (solid oak or walnut) or steel loops.

If you want one, the price starts at £5,507. Told you it wasn't cheap.
