When you think of classic pieces of design, chances are that you're not thinking of a tray. But the Kaymet ribbed tray is something of a classic, and it's been given a bit of a makeover so it'll look great in a twenty-first century kitchen.

These trays have been made in Bermondsey since the 1940s from silver anodised aluminium and with those distinctive ribbed edge and handles. There's also rubber feet at the corner of the tray to ensure they stay balanced.

The update mainly comes in the form of the powder coated aluminium base which has been given seven new vibrant and contemporary colours – there's the zingy colbalt shown above, as well as the three more pastel options pictured below.

The trays certainly have got the price tag of a design classic too. They're priced at £78.95 each.
