That icon of the 1970s is back, this time as a limited edition mod-inspired 2015 Raleigh Chopper.
Of course, times have changed and the design has now been tweaked, not least with regards to health and safety. If you want the bike you remember, you will have to buy one of the many available on eBay. But be warned, they don’t come cheap.
This one is more affordable and available to order now, but in limited numbers. We have read somewhere that 400 have been made in total. Whether that’s true or not, numbers are already low with some of the retailers showing stock.
If you fancy it, you’ll obviously notice the mod-inspired graphics. But you probably can’t spot the Shimano 6 speed Revoshift gears, which are present alongside the hanger bars, aluminium V-brakes, classic 16" front, 20" rear motorbike styled Chopper tyres, cruiser-style mudguards and an aluminium kickstand.
