1970s nostalgia is the name of the game here. To quote Orla Kiely herself: ‘I love Ali McGraw in Love Story and wanted tie shoes to have that preppy, university librarian theme. I wanted to keep the heels chunky and change the uppers with cute features like appliqué flowers and buckles.’
Which is pretty much what you get, although the range of styles is more extensive than perhaps you might expect. The retro styles like the Amelia above and the Abigail and Angelina (just below) are likely to be the styles most talked about and the styles you would associate with the collaboration overall. But the other looks are every bit as interesting.
Check out the Agatha brogues (available in two finishes) or the Andie ankle boot, also available in different finishes and like the former, ideal for the autumn months.
Other styles too, all of which are available to view and buy from today via the Clarks website. As for pricing, that starts at £120.
