Paper ercol butterfly chair

Can't quite get your hands on the real thing, or just love the real thing, you can make your own mini Ercol with this One to Sixteen model Butterfly chair

It's a scale paper model of Lucian Ercolani's Butterfly Chair, designed for Ercol in the 1950s, just waiting for you to cut it out and assemble it. And, if you've got the patience, admittedly the results look pretty impressive.

The model was devised by Tomoko Azumi – who was also responsible for the latest interpretation of the Donkey for Isokon - and is one in a series of One to Sixteen chairs. The other available designs date from much further back in history – here's hoping the range will expand, so we can live out our mid-century fantasies in miniature!

You can make your own Ercol for £12.
