It isn’t a cheap option, but the Hidde swivel armchair at Heal’s is definitely a stylish one.

Inspired by midcentury design (the 1960s in particular), this egg-shaped chair is the work of Ferard van den Berg for Heal’s, matching up a soft aniline leather seat with a five point metallic base in matt chromium finish. The frame is also covered in a ‘supportive’ moulded foam for added comfort too.

Different choices of leather are available, with each finished with curved stitching.

As we said, it looks wonderful, but is an investment piece. You will need to invest around £2,845 to get one.
