It is absolutely stunning, but both without issue in the modern era. The TV was made between the years of 1964 and 1967 and still looks ahead of the game all these years on. You can see just why Rams has been hailed as one of the most influential designers of the 20th century.
This model is made of wood with a grey plastic ‘skin’ and metal base. It is in original unrestored condition, with no damage, but ‘some nicks on edges’ from wear over the years and some yellowing as you would expect.
As for the inner working of this black and white TV, those are ‘fully refurbished’, so working just as it should. Of course, this is an analogue TV and a European one too, so you might want to investigate just what it can do and which adaptors you will need to get it working outside of its native Germany.
We would suggest it would look good just as room decoration, but at £2,499 you want more from it than that. On the plus side, the seller will consider a cheaper offer.
