Touch of Andy Warhol inspiration in these washing powder cushions by You Make Me Design.
Actually, quite a lot of Warhol, with a design that definitely gives a nod to the classic Warhol Brillo box from the mid-1960s, although to be fair, that was pretty much a take on consumer design from the era. This is very much an original.
The wonderful design has been digitally printed on lightweight cotton twill, with the back featuring a contrasting bright red / blue striped cotton or blue/white striped cotton (depending on availability). There is also a laser cut acrylic maker’s button near the base.
Finally, the cushion is filled with a hypo-allergenic soft polyester fibre stuffing.
The end result is very hip piece of retro design for the home and certainly a talking point. All for £20.
