When we compiled our top 20 reproduction vintage clothing retailers we forgot to add in Weekend Doll. So we are talking about them now and this 1940s Navy Bird Print Tea Dress by Pretty Retro.
This is actually by a brand who did feature in our top 20 (Pretty Retro), with this recent arrival offering plenty of 1940s style whilst still being something you can wear everyday rather than simply on the vintage ‘circuit’.
We love the cloth and its birds motif, as well as the flutter sleeves, the sweetheart neck and the tie at the neckline. Note that this is also a ‘pullover’ dress, allowing the line to be unbroken, making it a little more flattering.
Sizes are 8 through to 18 and the price is £54.
