Bjorn Borg is an icon of tennis and sport in general, with his clothing from the era instantly recognisable. None more so than the Fila Settanta Track Top.
Over 40 years ago, Bjorn Borg signed a long term deal with Fila for tennis wear and a sporting legend was born. The clothing was worn on the courts and not long after, gear like the Settanta Track Top made it to the streets and terraces too. Decades on and it still looks the part.
In fact, that’s why I am talking it up right now. The sun is out, the sky is (almost) blue and the big coats are moving back into the wardrobe. With Wimbledon starting to come into view, the Settanta is in my mind. Great for the court, but a hip retro jacket for daily wear too.
Plenty of colours to choose from as well, with just a few of them pictured here. Check out the retailer’s site for more. Of course, the details across the range are exactly the same.
Those are the contrasting panels under both arms with the iconic pinstripe detail running through it, along with a striped waistband with matching collar and cuffs, full zip front and Fila branding to the zip and chest.
It really is a classic for this time of year, just as long as the good weather holds for the summer. If you fancy one, the Fila Settanta Track Top retails for £65 in whatever colour you opt for.
