I would guess these are aims at kids’ rooms. But if you want to add a playful twist to any room in the hour, you really need to check out the retro games flooring by Atrafloor.

Everything from a chess board to vintage console and handhelds are represented here, depending on how retro or classic you want to go.

Of course, you don’t get much more classic than a chessboard floor, which you can opt for in a variety of colours. But if you want to go a little more leftfield, there are options on that front too.

How about a Tetris floor? Again, there are a couple of colour options available. Or maybe even a snakes and ladders floor? Yes, there is one of those too, along with noughts and crosses and a flooring based on the first generation of arcade games too. Not quite something for everyone, but a good deal of variety.

Whatever you go for, this is vinyl flooring, described as both ‘highly durable’ and ‘easy to install’ (although that phrase is probably based on DIY skills better than my own) and suitable for both homes and commercial use.

The price is dependent on how much you need, but expect to pay around £59 per square metre. Of course, Atrafloor does have other retro flooring too, some of which we have featured in the past.
