Serralunga Barceloneta Chair – classic Barcelona Chair gets an update

Barc1

Yes, at first glance it does indeed look like the classic Barcelona Chair by Mies van der Rohe. But it's actually a new design, the Serralunga Barceloneta Chair.

Think of it as a Barcelona for the modern era, with designer Raffaella Mangiarotti using a mix of polyurethane and aluminium to produce a chair both indoor or outdoor use, slimming down the design so it's abel to stack up too – see over the page for an idea of how that works. He even keeps that 'quilted' leather look for the seating by using a sophisticated 'rotating moulding system' that's apparently no easy thing to do.

Plenty of colours available, all priced around £654.

Barcelona Coat from Fred Flare

Barcelonacoat

Coats and jackets are one wardrobe item well worthy of choosing carefully, changing the whole tone of your outfit all at once. Classic swing and pea coats are timelessly stylish, and still head turning, as clearly shown by this Barcelona Coat from Fred Flare.

In a striking red shade of wool blend fabric, the coat's classic design and shape lean on a sixties inspiration. The double breasted cut, large buttons and tapered waist combine to create a pea coat effect – always ideal for any simple sixties style.

Get it online from Fred Flare for $84.

70s-style James watch collection by 666 Barcelona

James

A new company to me, but the James watch collection by 666 Barcelona has something of a familiar look.

Indeed, they're not a million miles away from the classic 1970s Lip watches we have featured in the past, but with more of a contemporary twist thrown in for the LED display.

Take your pick from a mix of metal and metal/rubbrer for the finish, the former in a choice of a metallic silver or gold, prices varying depending on where you buy. Watchismo sells the watches from $149, while the company sells to Europe direct, with prices starting at 116 Euros.
