Trainspotters NYC Walk/Don’t Walk Street Signs
An amazing opportunity to own a piece of New York iconography comes in the shape of these original Walk/Don't Walk Street Signs from industrial salvage specialists Trainspotters.
These classic signs have never been used as they were in storage when the decision was taken in 1999 to decomission this style of sign and replace it with an LED graphic version. Made of cast aluminum and vandal-proof glass (and weighing a hefty 6.8kg) the signs have been fitted with new circuitry and flash at timed intervals. They can be either wall-mounted or suspended.

eBay watch: Vintage metal Hovis shop sign
Big thanks to Poppy on Twitter for flagging up this salvaged gem – a vintage metal Hovis shop sign.
Why would you want it? Who knows – nostalgia, a quirky addition to your own shop, future collectable – there's all sorts of reasons for you to want one. The sign, which was presumably once hanging above a bakery measures approx 160cm X 40cm and weighs a hefty 5kg, with a black paint job on the background that's now peeling off to reveal the original green. The letters also strip back to a 'brass' colour too.
If you fancy it, the sign has a starting bid of £99, with the cost of a courier at £24 to get it to your home.
Cocktail bar light at Urban Outfitters
Want the finishing touch for your retro home bar? You're probably missing something like this cocktail bar light for sale at Urban Outfitters.
It looks like a classic neon bar sign complete with a white cocktail glass symbol and the word 'bar' clearly written out in blue. The light plugs in and is perfectly sized for the home, measuring 30cm across.
