Some things come, some things go – but some fashion items live on through everything fashion can throw at them. And one such item is the Converse All Star shoe – in particular, the Chuck Taylor.
Named after the legendary basketball player, his contribution to the games led to his name going on the All Star patch in 1923. The shoe revolutionised basketball, but is now more known as a casual shoe than its connection to sport.
Guess what? They’re back as the height of fashion. Though for some, they never go away. Still as cheap as ever at around £35.
