Vintage trainers are certainly big business – or rather, reissued trainers built to a vintage design.
Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 have been around a while now. Originally introduced in 1966, these were the first shoes with the famous Tiger Stripes and were worn at the Mexico Olympic Games in 1968. The originals and original reissues had laces – but you can now get a pair with velcro straps. In addition, the trainers have leather uppers with suede overlays on heel and toe and a solid rubber outsole.
Available in a variety of colour combinations, you can pick them up for around £65.
