Brionvega Cuboglass TV

Who says you can’t update a classic? The original Brionvega Cuboglass TV was designed by Mario Bellini and quickly became a classic. So much so that the TV is on permanent display at New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

In 1992, Brionvega introduced a new Cuboglass, featuring the latest electronics (of the time). it’s been gradually updated since and is now housed in an anti-scratch cabinet and features a black matrix tube for an impressive picture, a broadband loudspeaker, digital frequency synthesiser, cable tuner and 100 storable programmes. No mention of it being HD-ready, so we’ll presume it’s not.

Still, an eye-catching piece of retro technology. It’s available for around £620.

  1. Do you have any idea where one might find the Brionvega Black 201 Television Set?
I am desperately searching for one. The only place I can find is Moma.
Do you know of any art dealers/vintage shops/ collectors in the U.S that might have one?
    Your response is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you
