I can’t remember which film, but I’m sure James Bond had a personal submarine. And I’m sure there was one in Thunderbirds. In fact, retro TV is probably littered with them – but they’ve never really transferred into the real world. Until now – because, if you have the cash, you can pick up a C-Quester submersible from Dutch firm U-Boat Worx.
The C-Quester submersibles are available in two forms – the single occupant CQ1 and the two-man CQ2. It can dive in all waters, up to a maximum depth of 150 ft and can remain submerged on a full charge for 2.5 hours. However, it then takes 12 hours to recharge for your next Jacques Cousteau exploit.
Price? Well, if you need to ask, you might as well forget it. But if your Lotto numbers have come up, you can contact the company for a quote.
