Newgate are better known for their repro vintage-style clocks, but one model in their current range is altogether more modern, with more of a hint of the 70s – and it’s causing quite a stir.
The Newgate retro cube clock is designed to sit on your mantelpiece. It’s got a red moulded acrylic case, with a contrasting black centre, bold white numerics and white metal hands. It has no glass and requires just one AA battery.
It’s already caught the eye on Habitat, who are adding a rebranded version to their range in September. So if the cube clock appeals to you, it might be as well to pick up an "original", which might well retail cheaper than Habitat’s version too at just £35.
