We do like our lighting, with long suspended shades (the kind you’d expect to see in a 70s version of Conran’s House Book) being a particular favourite. It’s hard to improve on something where simplicity is the key, but Tom Dixon has done it with these impressive Copper Shades.
The Copper Shade pendant is a plastic polycarbonate globe with metalised copper mirror finish. Each comes with 200cm of clear cable and a black ceiling rose.
Try one of these instead of the usual silver metallic shade and watch your friends and neighbours look on enviously. Not cheap though – they’re available now for around £155 each.
