Fancy taking part in a real-life game of Pac-Man? Well, you can if you get yourself down to Soho’s Golden Square in London today (Thursday 21st September) at 12 noon, when the area will be converted to a Pac-Man arena – and you can be in it.
A five by six metre maze complete with 60 Pac-Dots is being erected in the square to bring the retro classic to life. Gamers can compete to ‘munch’ as many of the Pac-Dots in the shortest time possible whilst dodging the ghosts. Life sized costumes of Pac-Man or one of the gang of ghouls; Blinky, Inky, Pinky and Clyde, will be available for anyone passing who fancies a spot of old school arcade action.
It’s all to celebrate the launch of all-time classic videogames for Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade – and as they’re sponsoring, a prize of an Xbox 360 console will be awarded to the person who scores the most points. So get down and make a fool of yourself – you could go away with a shiny new console.
