Tip Top Tees – unearthed sixties t-shirts

According to the company blurb, Tip Top Tees was a forgotten about t-shirt manufacturer and printer from the 60s, unearthed by designer David Gilston, who found a consignment of original screenprints in a deadstock clearance house in Brooklyn, New York.

A number of prints were handpicked for limited edition reprints – and you can now buy them. The designs vary from the satirical to the practical – like this Scissors Palace, advertising a barber’s shop in the area, with suitably early 60s cartoon graphic and obvious play on Caesar’s Palace.

Prices vary, but this one is available in the UK from More T Vicar at £28.
