100 years of George Cox footwear

George Cox – makers of the first-ever brothel creepers in the early 50s, extreme winkle pickers in the 60s and ted-inspired footwear for the early punk scene is 100 years old this year – and still going strong.

Check out the George Cox website for brothel creepers (above) and winkle pickers in their original shapes (yes, you can still buy them), along with some more modern styles that still use a touch of the past.

If all that’s a bit much – check out George Cox’s slick range on the site for something that would look smart with a good suit.
