Royal Mail to launch Beatles postage stamps

The Royal Mail have obviously got wise to the collectors’ market, introducing The Beatles postage stamp set as their first special issue of 2007.

You can see as many of these being put away as being stuck on letters. The set features six stamps, based on six of the band’s album covers, designed as stamps by Michael Johnson.

The set of six stamps will retail for £3.36 when they’re introduced on 9th January 2007. There’s also other collector’s packs and sheets of each stamp available – check out the Royal Mail website for full details.

  1. Many people seem to be confused as to where to get these Beatles stamps from.
They should be on sale at all UK Post Offices from 9 January 2007. Most P.O.s will have the stamps, miniature sheets, and presentation packs available.
Anybody wanting to get a first day cover should check with their own post office in advance. Otherwise, first day covers can be ordered in advance from Royal Mail, or from dealers such as ourselves ( First day covers are not sold by Royal Mail after the date of issue – only by dealers.
