Best of The New Scooby-Doo Movies volume one

Scooby-Doo, a vintage cartoon classic that’s gradually declined with each new incarnation, probably hitting rock bottom with the introduction of the evil Scrappy. But the early days are still TV cartoon heaven – and some of them have just been reissued on DVD as The Best of The New Scooby-Doo Movies.

These aren’t quite the originals, they’re from 1972 (the shows started in 1969) and followed the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? shows as four feature-length "specials" with special guests in each show, including Batman and Robin and the Three Stooges.

Not something that’s going to intellectually stretch you, but for some cartoon nostalgia both you and (possibly) your kids will enjoy over easter, you can’t go wrong. The DVD retails for £12.99.
