Flagged up by Paul Gorman’s The Look MySpace site is the return of the Wild Thing t-shirt – originally designed by Wonder Workshop and sold to fashionistas through King’s Road boutiques Paradise Garage, Alkasura and Granny Takes A Trip in the 70s.
It was the t-shirt of choice for the glam rocker – Marc Bolan and The Sweet were fans, while Iggy Pop wore a Wonder Workshop jacket on the sleeve of his classic Raw Power album.
It’s been reproduced by Ben Cooney of the San Francisco-based Rock & Roll Workshop, with modern-day glam additions of hand-set Swarovski rhinestones, plus a reprinted Wonder Workshop logo on the inside collar. Just 45 available, retailing for $100 (£50).
