The Sixties saw not only the rise of the celebrity photographer, but also the celebrity hairdresser, the first of whom was Leonard Lewis, better known as Leonard of Mayfair.
Working from his ‘House’ in Upper Grosvenor Street, he styled the hair of pretty much anyone who was anyone in Swinging London. He was responsible for Twiggy’s iconic crop and had a client list that included The Beatles, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and perhaps less glamorously, The Krays! Whilst being transported back to his 1960s salon is out of the question, you can benefit from his years of hair styling experience as he has released a range of hair care products, including various shampoos and conditioners.
Packaged in suitably retro monochrome containers, they contain a unique blend of ingredients including dandelion, nettle, cucumber and witch hazel.
