No matter how long we keep writing about it, there’s still a seemingly inexhaustible supply of stylish mid-century furniture to discover – including the Finn Juhl Model 137 sofa.
Designed in 1953, it’s also called the Japanese Model (being inspired by Miajima water gate off the coast of Hiroshima). The series includes an armchair, footstool and the sofa above, all featuring hand-sewn upholstery (in a colour of your choice) and a frame in walnut or oak.
Like all official reissues of classics, none of it comes cheap – the sofa selling for £2,597.
