If you keep things simple and concentrate on the quality, you have every chance of creating a timeless piece of furniture. And that’s certainly true of the Florence Knoll Oval Dining Table.
A mid-century classic dating back to 1961, it was designed as part of a range of tables described as ‘meat and potatoes’, filling in the gaps in the Knoll range. And it’s still in there, with angular polished chrome base and a choice of tops, from laminate to marble and oak.
Not cheap at £2,032 – but a dining table that should be around as long as you. If not longer.
