The George Nelson Sunflower clock is 50 years old – and celebrates with a Vitra reissue.
Like most of the Nelson clocks, the Sunflower from 1958 manages to be very much of its period, but at the same time, holding its own as a contemporary piece of design. It’s made of birch and packs a high-grade quartz clockwork inside, with a single AA battery keeping things ticking along.
Not cheap at £586, but what do you expect for a design classic?
