You can do your bit for a deserving charity and the environment with Tesco’s Cath Kidston re-usable shopping bags, available to buy from the start of July.

The fabric of the bags is made entirely of recycled plastic (PET) bottles, which makes these sturdy shoppers ideal for replacing the flimsy carriers at the checkout. And revenue from the bags goes to support Marie Curie Cancer Care, with a minimum of £250,000 expected to be raised – funding an additional 12,500 hours of nursing care at home for terminally patients and their families throughout the UK.

The first two designs of the collection – the ‘multi floral fashion’ print and the ‘classic blue spot’ print – will be launched initially, followed by four more classic prints over a six-month period.
