When I saw the phrase ‘the house could benefit from some updating’ relating to the 1960s-designed St Briavels house in the Wye Valley, Gloucestershire, my eyes lit up – and I wasn’t disappointed.
Set in 28 acres of the Forest of Dean, the house is as unspoilt as the scenery. Originally designed by Bob and Tim Organ in the late 60s, it has 3,400 square ft of internal space over a single storey (including five bedrooms and a large studio), a swimming pool, triple garage and features money can’t buy – check out the hexagonal kitchen, period fireplaces, wood panelling, exposed stone walls and large windows via the link below.
If we had the money, we would be picking up the keys right now. But sadly, we haven’t got the necessary £750,000 required for buying St Briavels. But we can still dream.
