Selfridges celebrates 100th Birthday

Upmarket department store Selfridges celebrates its centenary in May and to mark the occasion they have asked leading designers and brands to create exclusive products in its signature yellow colour.

Of particular interest to us are the limited edition Converse, which combines the iconic shoe with the Pantone 109 Yellow. There are just 100 pairs of these available, priced £75. Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith are amongst the designers who have created limited edition carrier bags for the store, which will be available with purchases during May while stocks last.

For anyone interested in the history of the store, there is a special exhibition taking place on the Lower Ground Floor of the Oxford Street store, which includes information on the founder, the building and its window displays.
