Mexican revolutionary prints at the British Museum

Victoria print

The British Museum are still reproducing prints from the Mexican revolution on paper and canvas, inspired by their now sadly closed exhibition on the subject. The prints available actually date to well before and after the period generally considered to be the actual revolution in Mexico and therefore cover a broad range of dates and styles and changing politics.

The image pictured was made to celebrate the defeat of Nazis at end of WWII and remains a powerful image today. It offers an unusual alternative to some of the other political posters widely available for sale from this period.

Each print is made to order, with prices starting at £15 for a 50 x 40 print on paper.
