Lovers of 1950s style who are in London on the 14 December should definitely check out The Mid Century Market, an event devoted to the decade.
London's only 1950s fair, the market was born from a passion for the mid-century lifestyle of the late 1940s to the early 1960s and takes great care in selecting its stall holders. It promises the highest quality, covering clothing, homewares to records and jewellery, all either inspired by the fifties (we spy some Planet Sputnik pieces in the photograph above) or real vintage pieces.
The market is soundtracked by the rhythm and blues of the era, while Vanity Box is on hand to provide vintage hair styling for men and women.
It takes over north London's Cecil Sharp House on 14 December, from 10.30 to 4pm.
Entrance is £3.
