Think you can only get these secondhand off eBay? Think again as the Atomica midcentury modern plant stands are brand new.

They are all things of beauty too and in terms of price, can come in far cheaper than some of the vintage ones offered for sale.

Ok, there’s something about vintage that adds some character to your home. But for me, these look just as impressive and once dressed with your favourite bits and pieces, will look every bit the vintage stand.

There are nine variations of stand currently being stocked by Magpie, with each one designed and made at the Atomica workshop in Ireland.

The differences? Well, some are two-tier stands and others are three-tier stands. All have teak legs and rods, but the difference is generally about the finish of the tables.

The Formica is offered in different shades and there are options for the trim too. The end result, for me at least, is something a little sharper and cleaner than the vintage stands you might have seen being sold out of mainland Europe. I much prefer these, but I know some of you might like the imperfections and quirky finishes of vintage pieces.

Oh, one other thing, Each one of these tables is made by hand. So some quality craftsmanship is also thrown into the mix, although you will have to assemble the parts when they arrive. That shouldn’t be too difficult.

As I said, price is on the side of these modern-day interpretations too. Between £125 and £155 depending on the one you go for and with new colours just added. Do compare them with the vintage ones on eBay. But I’m sure you’ll be coming back to these.

You can get these directly from Atomica or you can find out more at the Magpie website
