Vintage Patterned Trophy Roe Head

L_UT21801
As an animal lover, wall-mounted deer heads normally make me feel uneasy, but this Trophy Roe Head looks as unlike the real thing so passes my sensitivity test.

It is made from MDF, with each piece decorated in a pattern inspired by vintage Italian textiles. This one uses shades of orange, brown, blue and yellow, which give it a 1970s look, whilst the other option has more floral patterns in shades of purple, giving it a more shabby chic feel. The trophy roe heads cost £27.50. There is also a trophy deer head – the differences being the size of its antlers and the slightly higher price of £32. They supplied flat-packed, but self-assembly should still be easy than going out hunting for a traditional trophy.

Classic Album Remix Prints

ThumbnailerCADXZRL6
Remember the Mona Lisa Revamp print we featured a couple of months back? Now, the designer, Graphic Nothing, has turned their attention to classic album covers.

Pictured here is the Velvet Underground Remix, but Thriller, Technique and Nevermind have also received a similar treatment, with their designs reduced to a series of coloured dots. The prints measure 29cm squared and cost £25 (£28 including postage within the UK)

Müller Mobile Line Trolley

Muller_mobileline107-1_425a
Müller’s design philosophy is to combine retro style with modern simplicity, and if the Mobile Line Trolley is anything to go by, we like the results.

This isn’t a hostess style trolley, but rather a storage solution on castors, which can be moved around your home as needed. With an overwhelming choice of over 200 colours, you can choose to play up the retro or the modern look of the piece. Most colour options cost £549, but if you want one of the pearl shade, it will cost an extra £51.

Sukie Christmas Cards

4024_SUKIE_Peace-252x356
Although only just November, it probably isn’t too early to be planning for Christmas especially when ordering things online. So here is my first suggestion for suitably retro Christmas cards from Sukie.

Like other Sukie products, the Christmas cards feature folk art style illustrations in a palette of blue, green, red and pink. There are five designs to chose from; Peace, Love, Joy, City (which includes a snokflake and Christmas tree to keep it festive) and Tree.

They cost £1.80 per card from Nineteen Seventy Three.

Lisa Stickley Stationery

944a
You may already be familiar with Lisa Stickley, heralded as the new Cath Kidston, but on the basis of this range, she goes way beyond shabby chic. Adding to her ceramics and textiles ranges, she now has a new line in stationery, consisting of notebooks, pencils and notecards.

Pictured here is an A5 notebook, with a cover design of two glamorous ladies which was inspired by 1960s vogue pattern books and “ladies who wear good hats” (although neither lady is wearing hat). The inside cover is decorated with a 1930s square print based on a wallpaper design of that period, which is used often across the range. Other designs include a wavy stripe pattern inspired by a round-collared coat, a parquet stripe print taken from classic floor tiling and a floral design taken from the type of hankies waved at steam trains - certainly an eclectic range of influences.

Prices start at £5 for a pack of pencils, up to £10 for the notecards and day books, with the notebook pictured here in between at £9. Visit Lisa Stickley’s website to view the whole collection.

Vintage Reclaimed Blackboards

Normal_lace_and_tin_blackboard
Although based in Northumberland, the aesthetic behind most of Ghost Furniture’s products is decidedly French.

One of their product ranges consists of Vintage Reclaimed Blackboards, which are created using frames and blackboards found in flea markets and shops in or around Paris. The frames are painted with a matt paint mixed especially for Ghost Furniture in France. The blackboard pictured here also includes a piece of vintage lace and a vintage tin suitable for storing the Vintage French Dressmakers Chalk, which is supplied with each blackboard. This particular example is priced £65, but others in the range cost up to £125.

Buy the vintage blackboards online from Ghost Furniture’s store at Not on the High Street.
