A denim jacket at this time of year? Maybe not – unless it's the Lee Japan Stormrider winter denim jacket.

THe winter version of this classic, slimline denim jacket was launched way back in 1933 and is still being made for the Japanese market today, although very select UK retailers have stock too. As smart as any dry denim you'll find, it also has those seasonal additions of a blanket vlining and corduroy collar. Ok, it might not be great in sub-zero temperatures, but it should keep a chill out.

Adidas Online Store sale starts – 50 per cent markdowns

Fred Perry launches online sale

Fred Perry has started its online sale for both men and women – with plenty of big markdowns across all the range.

In fact, pretty much everything in the range seems to be heavily marked down, from polo shorts and shoes, through to larger items like coats and jackets. As examples, the Fred Perry pea coat is down from £250 to £175, the cropped trench coat is £112.50, down from £225 and Harringtons drop from £125 to £87.50.

Not only for the men either, the women's range is discounted too – like the women's Harrington jacket pictured above, which was £150, but is now just £75. Check out everything now at the Fred Perry site.

John Lewis clearance sale starts

Another place to pick up some retro bargains is John Lewis, which is currently having a clearance sale across the whole store.

There's some good men's fashion markdowns, including the likes of Baracuta and Fred Perry, along with a number of pea coats for half price. But if you're after some interiors bargains, check out the lighting and furniture. The 1930-style Madison table light is one such markdown, formally £100, the polished chrome lamp is now on offer at £47.50, making it something of a steal.
