Hanon gets exclusive reissue of Le Coq Sportif Arthur Ashe trainers

Ashe1

An interesting collaboration using a minor classic of days gone by – the Le Coq Sportif x Hanon Arthur Ashe trainers.

As you might have guessed, this is a Hanon retail exclusive, with the shoe a remake of the original tennis shoe of the 1970s and 80s, designed (as you might also have guessed) for the US tennis icon Arthur Ashe. It's a no-nonsense trainer with perforated detail for breathing, a soft lining for comfort and premium upper for 'extra resistance'. It also features the original Le Coq Sportif 'practice' logo on the heel and the Arthur Ashe signature on the side.

These should be available this month on the Hanon site, as yet no price details have been announced. Another shot of the shoes from a different angle over the page.

Adidas Montreal trainers are a Size? exclusive in brown

Mont1

The Adidas Montreal seems to the Size? exclusive trainer of choice at the moment. You can still pick up past colour options in limited sizes (although most sold out swiftly), but there's a new one coming your way in the coming weeks, an exclusive issue in brown.

The Adidas Montreal is quitw an interesting shoe, loosely based on the Gazelle design it has a distinctive collapsible heel that was designed to allow footballers to get the shoe on and off easily after training. Indeed, it's actually classed as a kind of 'clog' for that very reason. But let's be honest, it's not really one.

Adidas Gazelle OG trainers reissued in green and blue suede

Gaz

If you were hoping that 2011 would seem some more obscure Adidas reissues on the shelves…well…that's not looking likely so far. So following on from the the Samba reissue yesterday comes another regular on the reissue circuit, the Adidas Gazelle OG trainers. Fans of the style will probably be more enthusiastic.

Two new limited edition colours are now on pre-order, a 'medium green' and a 'lone blue', but both are the same apart from that colour. Which means a return to the 1960s silhouette and two tone suede finish, along with leather detailing, zig zag cut leather stripes and a gum sole unit.

Finished off with some gold branding, the shoes are ready to order now at £65.

Puma G Vilas 2 trainers reissued in two new colourways

Vilas2

We saw a pair in all-white earlier this year, but now there's a reissue of the Puma G Vilas 2 trainers with some added colour.

We do like the G Vilas 2, a section shoe designed for Argentinian tennis ace Guillermo Vilas in the early 80s, it was instantly a terrace classic and still catches the eye today.

The latest reissue is in white with either green (above) or navy blue detailing, throwing in some G Vilas 2 and Puma branding, a perforated toe and tongue, as well as a leather upper with nubuck toe and rubber outsole. £55 is the price.
