Gama Clothing 1960s Clubs t-shirts by Gary Crowley

Gama2

Gama Clothing has produced a range of t-shirts featuring iconic 60s clubs and other institutions of the decade.

The GCT's are 'designed' by DJ and broadcaster Gary Crowley, although as most of the logos are pulled from original 60s artwork, I'm not sure how much designing was actually done – although he has picked the designs that feature on the shirts and overseen development of the range to be fair.

Regardless of that, the shirts are certainly eye-catching and worth a look for your summer hols, with The Marquee, the Flamingo, The Scene and The International Times being the first of the limited edition designs for sale. You can buy all of those from 1st June 2009, priced at £20. See over for more images.

Lexon space age Galaxy calculator

Lexon_galaxy

Can a calculator be cool? It can if it looks like the Lexon Galaxy calculator, designed by Marc Berthier and Gilles Caillet.

We're loving those glossy space age-style curves, derived from an ABS finish, making it as light as it is stylish. All the basic calculation functions are on here, along with one handy extra – a currency convertor.

Four colours available (see over for the red version), all selling for a very cheap £9. If it was Christmas, we'd be tempted to use the term 'stocking filler'.

Vintage Handbags by Marnie Fogg

Vintage_handbags

Following on from Vintage Fashion, Vintage Furniture and Vintage Shoes, Marnie Fogg has produced another hardback gem for the vintage collector – Vintage Handbags.

Vintage Handbags covers 100 years of handbag fashions, showing iconic and groundbreaking styles from each decade, ideal if you want a reference guide of if you're just looking for some inspiration in the bag department. Check out  Elsa Schiaparelli’s mesh bags for Whiting & Davis in the 1920s, the Hermès Kelly bag in the 1950s through to the Fendi Baguette of the 1990s and just about everything in-between. If that's not enough, there are also archive images, fashion photography and specially commissioned photographs of period pieces.

With a foreword by Anya Hindmarch, the book will be on the shelves via Carlton Books in September 2009, priced around the £25 mark (although Amazon is already doing pre-orders for a discounted price).

British made, the shoes are designed to fit the gap between cycling footwear and casual shoes, with a tapered shape to fit inside a pedal cage, but with enough style to catch the eye when you're walking about during the day.

Made from what's described as 'the finest materials around' and in various finishes (including a patent leather), they should be available in the non-too-distant future for…well, we're not sure about the price as yet.

Adidas 3 Stripes Trefoil t-shirt

Trefoil1

A timeless classic that's been around for more years than the majority of us – the Adidas 3 Stripes Trefoil t-shirt.

I certainly had similar ones as a kid and that's no surprise – these t-shirts are an exact replica of the first t-shirt made by Adidas. For your money, you get a slim-fitting top made of 100 per cent cotton, with the three stripes on the sleeves and a flock logo on the chest.

Various colours available (see another over the page), with a price of £25.
