Work with me at Retro To Go

Hi, I’m David, the owner / founder / writer of Retro To. A title I’ve had for some years now. You are here and reading this, so hopefully you like and appreciate what I do on this site. It’s a labour of love. Actually, there’s not much labour, I just write about things I love. That’s been the secret over the years.

For background, Retro To Go is a highly respected blog, one that has been telling the world about cool retro finds for the last 10 years or so. Recently I have decided to retire out old design and roll out an all-new design that works for both desktop and mobile readers. It has given the site a whole new lease of life and as a result, pushed the site to an even wider readership.

Oh and then there’s the social media. That’s rather popular too. I’m on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, with email newsletters going out as and when I find time as well.

How can you be part of it all? Well, you already are as you are reading the site. That’s pretty much all I can ask for. But if you want to work with me, you can do that too.

1. Sponsored posts

If you want to me to create a sponsored post on the site, I can work with you to do just that. The post will be on the front page and in the archive of the site. I can work with you to ensure the content works with our audience too. Of course, the content would need some relevance to the site or it would stick out like a ‘sore thumb’. But again, you are here so I’m guessing there must be a meeting of minds.

Please note that I DO NOT involve myself in link building activities, so don’t even dream of asking us. Ultimately, it’s all about what will appeal to our readers.

2. Email newsletter

I can feature you in our regular newsletter if you prefer to go that way. Do get in touch if this is of interest and once again, we can work something out together.

3. Banner advertising

We do accept banner advertising and can advise on the best way to go in that instance, although you probably just want to sign up to Google Adwords / Adsense really and go from there.

4. Competitions / promotions

If the product is retro-related, we can also look at the possibility of a competition or promotion. Do get in touch if this works for you. Those can also be promoted in the newsletter and on social media.

5. Site sponsorship

If you want to sponsor the site, I am happy to discuss the possibility, either long term or for a limited time – removing all other advertising if required. You can even sponsor the editorial posts for a period of time too. Again, please get in touch if this is of interest.

6. Listings

We have a recommended retailers section and if you have a site that fits, we will consider listing it there. But it does need to be a retailer we love. Again, we don’t just stick up links.

It all starts with an email and can involve a phone call if you want a chat (and I certainly do chat!). But first off, just drop me a line at [email protected].

Look forward to speaking to you,
