I haven’t featured enough wallpapers of late, perhaps because not too many have really jumped out at me. There are only so many 1970s swirls you can see before the novelty wears off. This one is retro—but in a very different way.

The clue is in the name. The Cotton Club was an iconic jazz club in the 20th century, and the wall covering of the same name pays tribute to the jazz scene in your home. Go on, zoom in, see how many you can name.

It’s a snapshot of 20th-century jazz greats, recreated in a wallpaper with a red and black colour scheme and imagery that walks a fine line between photography and illustration. Each frame looks like a snapshot from a movie opening sequence.

I’m describing it as wallpaper, but it might be better described as a mural. Either way, it’s designed for a feature area of your home. If you have a music room or a space that houses your record player, all the better. Or you just might be a jazz nut and like the idea of this on a wall in your living room or bedroom.
