Designed to look like it is made from a recycled pallet, but probably made from new materials, the Pallet Coffee Table nonetheless embraces the industrial chic style.
The table measures 64cm by 44cm and stands at 35cm high and like a pallet, it has metal wheels to make moving it around the room easy. It is made by House Doctor in Denmark so will take 2 to 3 weeks to deliver.
Order it from Bodie and Fou, priced £550.
Zoe Murphy specialises in reusing midcentury furniture, by restoring it and adding her own creative flourishes to the pieces, inspired by 1950s, seaside resorts, cafes and 1930s cinema.
The Margate Collection is typical of her work, consisting of retro furniture that has been revamped with illustrations that pay homage the quintessential seaside resort of Margate. Many of the patterns and bright colours are inspired by Formica tables found in seaside cafes. These are bespoke items, and Zoe Murphy is able to create design on your own vintage furniture as well as keeping a small stock of her own ready to revamp. Prices start at £650.

HarBenger2 are another company that combine new designs with recycled elements, including the Clover Table illustrated. The table combines an old metal planter base that's been painted in matt black with a shaped, walnut veneer top to create an interesting, contemporary look.
The nature of the recycled elements means that, although the objects can look similar, they are never quite the same so it's worth keeping an eye on the designs for sale at their Etsy store. This design costs $130 but, as the duo are Houston based, you'll need to add shipping fees onto that price.
