Designed for a World Cup long ago and still looking good today. The Adidas Kick trainers are back on the shelves.

That’s the thing about the classics. They look good, whatever the era. Functionality might change, but a good-looking trainer will always be in demand.

It tends to come and go from the Adidas range (as many do), but bringing it back as we enter 2024 makes a lot of sense. After all, it was made and designed by Adidas back in 1974, which is now 50 years ago. 50 years after it was produced for a World Cup – the 1976 World Cup in West Germany.

Which explains why it has the name ‘Kick’. Good for the odd kick in the park with your friends back in the day, but probably aimed at more casual wear these days. White leather doesn’t tend to stay that colour when you kick a ball in a park on a regular basis. And with the price of Adidas Originals these days, you probably want to look after these.

The white leather upper makes up the majority of this shoe, which has some contrasting black detail, a suede toe, plenty of support below and a herringbone gym sole.
