Here's a new big fancy coffee table book from V&A that'll spark the interest of those with a lust for vintage and retro design with a distinctly British twist.

The book British Design from 1948: Innovation in the Modern Age, linking in with the upcoming exhibition of the same name which opens on 31st March, celebrates the best of British design, documenting the transformation and impact of designers' work over the years between the post-war 'Austerity Games' of 1948 and the 2012 Olympics. The book takes a close look at some diverse subjects from the Festival of Britain to punk, all with in depth commentary from the curators. A real treat for late 20th century design fans.

Available to pre-order for £35 from V&A Shop online.
