The Monkees 45th anniversary tour screenprint

Monk

Just got an email off Rhino about the Monkees going out on tour, also mentioning the merchandise on offer for said tour. Amongst all the t-shirts, there's this gem – The Monkees 45th anniversary tour screenprint.

It's a rather cool, vintage-style print made for the tour, a two-colour prong on 'thick cardstock'. Shame it only features the touring members (sorry Nesmith fans), but it's still an eye-catching item.

Grab it online at the Rhino site, $20 secures one.

Crayola Letter Art by The Letteroom

Normal_DSC_0102
The Letteroom specialises in personalised gifts, which isn’t that unusual, but their Crayola Letter Art is something a bit different.

Housed in a white wooden box frame, it consists of a capital letter made entirely from Crayola crayons of different lengths and colours. You get to pick the letter obviously, but you can also chose between multi-coloured crayons, shades of pinks or shades of blue.  It would make a good  gift for a child or an adult nostalgic for childhood.

Buy it directly from The Letteroom for £37.50

Make Do and Mend print by Farouche on Etsy

Farouche

Next time you shirk away from your ever-growing pile of socks in dire need of darning, this cheerful little print should give you a gentle reminder to sit down and get stitching.

The Make Do and Mend print from Farouche embodies one of the most enduring sentiments of wartime Britain and, with our pockets feeling a little lighter of late, is as relevant now as it was back then. The simple cursive typography, finished with a simple needle motif and vintage-style border, is available with a mint green, peach or dove grey background.

The Make Do and Mend print is at a credit-crunch friendly price of $18 from the Farouche store on Etsy.

Herb Lester vintage-inspired map of Glasgow

Herb1

You know the drill now, we love the Herb Lester maps, both the design and the fine array of places they flag up. This Herb Lester vintage-inspired map of Glasgow looks like another winner for the company.

As ever, it's a map of the usual and the unusual – so expect record shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, and inevitably a fish and chip shop – albeit one with an opera-singing proprietor. There are also glorious parks, beautiful architecture and great food and drink – like an unchanged 1960s pub, the Glasgow Architectural Salvage Yard, an art deco restaurant and oyster bar (Rogano) and to top things off, an excellent record shop (Monorail).

The map is designed and illustrated by Brent Couchman, is A3-sized(297 x 420mm) and litho printed in England on recycled paper. A bargain at just £3. Another shot over the page.

Have An Ice Day screenprint by Crispin Finn

Ice2

Seeing as it's such a warm day (here at least), we thought you might fancy an ice lolly? Or a at least, a picture of one courtesy of the Have An Ice Day screenprint by Crispin Finn.

It's an eye-catching number, with an old school lolly printed in two colours on the white background, complete with what every ice lolly should still have – a joke on the stick.

It's a two-colour embossed screenprint on 300gsm somerset paper, sized at 56cm x 38cm and in an edition of 50. £37.50 gets you one.
