Iconic UKGL-510 TV Stand

31KqaKnjxiL__SL500_AA300_
As flat screen televisions weren’t around in the middle of the last century, it isn’t surprising that there is a limited choice of retro stands., although we have managed to find a few such as the Iconic UKGL-510 TV Stand.

The stand has all the features you need for today’s televisions, including a universal support system, cable management facility and a toughened glass shelf for your DVD player. The retro-influence comes from the walnut finish and subtle wave to the stand back.

It costs £199 and can be ordered from The Plasma Centre via Amazon.

Sanderson Miro Wallpaper

If you are beginning to tire of the ubiquity of Sanderson’s Dandelion print on every imaginable product, then perhaps the Sanderson Miro Wallpaper is a good alternative.

Like the Dandelion print, this is another of Sanderson’s designs from the 1950s, originally from a Sanderson cotton. It features a stylised leaf trail, centred vertically on the paper, with the leaves in various complementary colourways, such as red/gold, teal/orange and oyster/chocolate.

The wallpaper costs £32 per roll from John Lewis.

Danform Curve1 Chair

CURVE1Blowup
These simple, yet decidedly retro-looking chairs are the Curve1 Chair by Danform.

Not to be confused with Panton’s Curve Chair and its imitators, this dining chair from Denmark is created by a leading manufacturer of bentwood furniture. It is available in a choice of black or white leather, wenge stained or walnut veneer. The chairs cost £85 each (or £30 extra for walnut veneer) which seems a reasonable price, but you must order a minimum of four chairs (which is probably a sensible number of dining chairs really).

Buy them online from Kalusto Furniture.

House of Chintz Lamp Shades

Caravan_of_love
Pattern designer and painter, Kate Boyce produces homewares under the name House of Chintz. As that glorious name would suggest, her work is inspired by suburban English landscapes of days gone by.

Her lampshades are inspired by the landscapes she grew up with, and use her own photography, combined with scans of vintage floral fabric from the 70s and 80s. Pictured here is the Caravan of Love design, which includes the favourite mobile holiday home of the 70s; other designs show houses and streets. The lampshades measure 30cm in diameter and can be used for ceiling or on a base.

The shades cost £65 from Radiance Lighting.

Cappellini & Walt Disney Signature Limited Edition Rive Droite Armchair

58004291fo_12_f
The Cappellini & Walt Disney Signature Rive Droite Armchair is a limited edition piece (just 99 numbered pieces in the series) and part of a collaboration between the two brands.

On first glance, I thought the fabric covering this chair was a Missoni design as it has that same retro look, but as closer inspection reveals, it is the iconic Disney logo in an overlapping repeat print. As you might expect, this chair isn’t cheap – it will probably set you back more than a family trip to DisneyLand at £3,102.

If you have that sort of money to space, order it online from Yoox.
